Grüne Liga (Green League) is a network of ecological initiatives within Germany, it dates back to the environmental and peace movements of the DDR. The League’s aim is to support and coordinate individual groups and events dealing with environmental issues. The Grüne Liga Berlin influences the ecological thinking of the society significantly, mainly through different projects, e.g. backyard competition, eco-market, environmental festival, camps for children. The network also publishes an environmental newspaper called Der Rabe Ralf every second month. The topics covered by it are nature and environmental protection, gen technology, water consumption, agriculture, urban and regional development.
